What Is the Sukha Program?
In Ayurvedic medicine, Sarvanga Abhyanga (full-body oil massage) combined with Svedana (steam) is the foundational Snehana-Swedana therapy sequence — the essential preparation before any Panchakarma procedure. This combination mobilises accumulated toxins (Ama) from tissues, lubricates all 107 Marma points, improves circulation through all 72,000 Nadis (energy channels), balances Vata dosha, strengthens the nervous system, and provides profound physical relaxation. The Sukha program makes this powerful therapeutic combination available as a standalone wellness session.
Who Benefits from the Sukha Program?
- Physical stress, muscle tension, and body ache
- General fatigue and low energy levels
- Dry skin, joint stiffness, and poor circulation
- Athletes and active individuals for recovery
- Those seeking regular Ayurvedic wellness maintenance
- Office workers with neck, shoulder, and back tension
- Those new to Ayurveda wanting an introductory experience
What the Sukha Session Includes
- Sarvanga Abhyanga (60 min) – Full body medicated oil massage performed by two therapists simultaneously (Dwi Hasta), following Ayurvedic stroke direction (Anuloma) to improve lymphatic flow, stimulate Marma points, balance Vata, and nourish all seven Dhatus (body tissues)
- Nadi Swedan (30 min) – Herbal steam therapy immediately after Abhyanga to open skin pores, flush mobilised toxins through sweat, relax muscle fibres, and amplify the absorption of medicated oil into deeper tissue layers

The appropriate medicated oil is selected based on your body constitution and chief concern — heavy Vata-pacifying oils for dryness and stress; cooling Pitta-pacifying oils for inflammation and heat; lighter Kapha-pacifying oils for sluggishness and water retention. The session concludes with a warm herbal drink and a brief post-session rest period for optimal absorption.
